1994: Michael Jordan dominates the NBA as if it were a training game. Tupac battles Celine Dion for the top spot on the charts. The world is slowly discovering the internet. At the same time, something extraordinary is happening somewhere in Maranello: Ferrari presents the F355.
In hindsight, it was no ordinary one FerrariIt was the car that brought two worlds together. Classic enough to still feel pure and analog today, modern enough to completely leave the competition in the dust back then. A cocktail that Ferrari since then has actually never managed to mix quite so perfectly again.
Ask a random Ferrari-enthusiast to the most beautiful V8-Ferrari ever built, and chances are high that the F355 will fall within seconds. Not only because of its timeless lines, but above all because of the way it drives. The steering, the feel, the balance. And then that sound… The 3.5-liter V8 screams its way via five valves per cylinder towards 8.500 rpm and fills the cabin with a soundtrack that modern turbos can only dream of. Every tunnel turns into a concert hall. Every roundabout becomes an excuse to downshift one more time.
And we haven't even mentioned the manual gearbox yet. That iconic open aluminium shift port. Click-clack. Click-clack. The kind of mechanical satisfaction you only encounter in memories and YouTube videos these days.
Moreover, this F355 is the most desirable version of them all: the GTS. For many, it is the perfect middle ground between the closed Berlinetta and the fully open Spider. With the removable targa roof, you enjoy the best of both worlds. It is not without reason that the GTS is currently one of the most sought-after F355 variants on the market.
Finished in the classic Rosso Corsa with a black leather interior, it looks exactly like a Ferrari should be from the nineties. The car was delivered new in Italy and has a fully documented history. With only 43.000 kilometers on the odometer and a verifiable dealer maintenance history, the supply suddenly becomes quite thin. In fact: just try finding one today with this mileage, this version, this color scheme, and this history.
While the market for iconic Ferrarihaving undergone an impressive development in recent years, the F355 is increasingly cited as one of the last great analog Ferrari-investments, because the market is finally starting to recognize what enthusiasts have known for years.
The F355 is not an old one. FerrariIt is an icon.
And icons rarely get cheaper.
