The manual transmission Porsche 997 GTS; a combination of a whole lot of right choices.

In all honesty, we also bought this car out of pure passion. The GTS was introduced in 2011, the last year of the 997. Around the table we thought about what there would still be interest for within the Porsche enthusiasts. The gap between the GT3 and the 'S-models' was considered too big, so a bridge had to be built. The GTS was the result with a 3.8 liter 6-cylinder boxer engine with 408HP and full of modifications.

Not only the exhaust but also the intake system was completely tackled. In addition, the car had a lot of sportier design elements including the 'fast mirrors' and the centerlock wheels. The 44mm wider 'behind' is thrown around with 30.5cm wide rubber on the ground. A GTS was ordered as standard with alcantara, and a 'sportauspuffanlage'. The latter could of course be activated by that well-known Porsche-button that recognizably presents two exhaust pipes. The simple button still gets a grin from ear to ear on the face of young and old.

Now I've heard it before; "Nice that Sport-Chrono, but I don't understand why people care so much about that clock on the dashboard?" This is just the tip of the iceberg people! Improved throttle response, less interference from the traction control, stiffer and lower suspension which makes for 3 seconds faster at the bar next to the Nurburgring. Now it's your turn! Why is ours worthy of collection or enthusiast? 46.000 kilometers of boxer engine fun, German car which is completely Porsche-maintained, completely first paint, manual transmission with sliding roof and sports chrono. We couldn't have chosen it better ourselves. As a garage queen or weekend cruiser, in both cases this car is 'the one to have'.
